Per the Powerboat Guide - the Azimut 55 incorporates a styling scheme that sets her apart from previous Azimut designs.  Gone are the elliptical cabin windows of previous years, replaced in the 55 by a pair of distinctive fin shaped salon windows.  Azimut designers also added three new vertical glass panels in the hullsides, a subtle innovation that introduces natural lighting into the master stateroom.  Built on a good running deep vee hull with prop pockets, the three stateroom, two head floorplan of the Azimut 55 is arranged both the galley and dinette forward, on the pilothouse level.  The inboard serving counter in the galley is a nice touch, and there is a bidet in the aft head compartment.  What other aft cockpit 55 footer offers the delights of a full beam owner's cabin?  The cockpit, shaded by the bridge overhang, has a teak sole and provides access to both the engine room.  Additional features include an extended swim platform, a well arranged flybridge w/ dinghy storage, and power side windows at the lower helm.  The silky smooth yet powerful optional C-12 Cats provide the type of performance that is expected of the thoroughbred class of vessel chosen by only the most discerning of yachtsmen.

Accommodations

Main Salon
The entire main deck level was designed to flow into a social gathering area where the oversize salon settee seats many guests comfortably and are able to converse with those seated at the covered aft deck as well. Don't forget how the helm turns 180 degrees to become a lounging chair too

  • Ice maker
  • Sony Color TV
  • AM/FM/CD Stereo System

Galley/Dining Areas
Most owners rave about their "perfect galley layout". No "down in the hole" galley here; it's up and part of the action. The unique divider bar holds dishes & glassware and opens to both sides. This design keeps the traffic pattern outside the work space and the entire galley, dinette, helm and salon is an open air environment. Directly across from the galley bar is a large dinette that seats the whole family. It also easily converts to open seating with twin tables. The flat screen TV is uniquely mounted to be viewable by all at the dinette seating and helm/lounge seat. It is also out of the way.

  • Samsung flat screen TV
  • Coolmatic double-door refrigerator/ freezer
  • Three burner cooktop
  • Raritan Icerette
  • Full set of dishes & glassware
  • Emerson Microwave

Master Stateroom
Note that the master is amidships, the widest, largest and quietest portion of the cabins. The six large hullside portlights are stylish, with their inventive upright oval shape allowing huge amounts of light as well as panaromic views.

  • Samsung 17" flat screen TV
  • Samsung DVD
  • Clarion AM/FM/CD

Starboard Guest Cabin
The starboard guest cabin features two side-by-side single berths and a large hanging locker, as well as a 15" flat screen TV
VIP Stateroom
The VIP cabin is located forward, and offers a walk around queen sized berth, lots of storage and hanging lockers. There is also an en-suite access to the head and stall shower. The VIP features a Samsung 15" flatscreen TV and Mintek DVD player.

Cruise Quarters with AC, Microwave and Refrigerator.

Aft Deck
From the covered aft deck you will enjoy a large seating area, with a spacious protected deck. There is room for a large table and several chairs. Additionally, Tranquility features a refrigerated drink box outboard port side of the bench seat. Remember that the salon ice maker is located just inside the salon door, making it easily accessible from either the aft deck or the salon. The aft deck bench seat hatch opens to a single berth crew cabin with toilet.

There is also access to the large swim platform from the port aft gate. The swim platform is protected on the port and starboard side by the style and design of the yacht. No "dinghy wash-away" and lots of space, as well as a fresh water shower.

Moving forward on the port side, you'll find a generous staircase to the flybridge. Each side features spacious molded steps to the wide walk-around side-decks and a very usable foredeck.

Flybridge Deck
The arch on the bridge is nicely centered mid-bridge, and is tall enough to keep your radar overhead and at a height that beautifully marries to the bimini top. The helm seat easily accomodates the helmsman and companion. Across to starboard is a large seating and sunning area with table centerline and wetbar with refrigerator mid-bridge on the port side. Just aft is a padded sun area. A davit for lifting a Sea-doo is installed on the aft part of the Flybridge.
