Accommodations
The Catalina 42, three stateroom model offers one of the best cabin layouts in sailboats today. With a large head forward with separate stall shower, mirrors, vanity, and plenty of ventilation. Next aft is the owner's stateroom with large double berth to port, drawers and hanging locker space and extra AC outlet. Continuing aft is the main salon with large circular table to port, which can be made into third double berth. Across and to starboard is the navigation station with plenty of room for books, electronics, and charts. Next aft is a two-seat settee with distribution panel above.
The Galley is to port, which features Sea Frost refrigeration. This spacious galley also features a custom lighted pantry aft, hot/ cold pressure water, two stainless steel sinks, There is an additional separate freezer under the nav station. Princess microwave oven, three burner propane stove and oven, and more than enough counter space for preparing large meals for the whole family. Aft of the pantry is a huge storage locker.
Across and to starboard is the aft stateroom and features a large berth, privacy door, hanging locker, and storage compartments. All cabin areas are light and airy with 12 opening ports and deck hatches. The interior is traditional with teak joinery along with teak and holly cabin sole.
